He's been named a "Disney Legend", with six of his twelve films
for Walt Disney on Variety's all-time hit list. Although
best known for comedy efforts such as "The Love Bug" and "Under
the Yum-Yum Tree", Dean Jones has also made vital dramatic films
like "The New Interns", "Never So Few" , "Other People's Money"
and "When Every Day Was the Fourth of July". His recent stage work
includes starring as "Cap'n Andy" in the epic $10 million touring
production of "Show Boat", playing to rave reviews across the
country. In addition, his one-man play, "St. John In Exile" has
been called "a masterpiece" by several critics. After 46 films, 5
Broadway Shows and over twenty years of television, he has written
his autobiography, "Under Running Laughter". When Jones is not
performing, he is a concerned activist, involved in international
childcare, problems of the homeless, world hunger and is
Founder/President of Christian Rescue Committee (CRC). CRC
provides a way of escape to Jews, Christians and others persecuted
for their faith. Dean Jones is passionate about these efforts, and
speaking regularly in churches and at special events across
America.
